Do NOT provide details. An example of a GOOD description is "the invention involves an improvement to X aspect of Y thing." An example of a BAD description is "by following A, B, C steps, we have achieved X improvement on Y thing."

  8. I understand that the matter may be placed with either a patent attorney or patent agent, and that this person's representation may be limited to the filing of a patent application for the invention referenced in this application.
  9. I understand that Tennessee PATENTS' scope of services are limited to the placement of cases for filing patent applications and that if I have another legal issue, including but not limited to setting up a corporation prior to placement with a patent attorney/agent, Tennessee PATENTS will not handle the placement of these issues. I further understand that while my assigned attorney may take on these additional matters, they may charge additional fees for these services.
  10. I understand I am responsible for paying an administrative fee prior to placement with a volunteer patent agent or attorney, and I understand that the applicant remains responsible for the payment of all necessary governmental fees and ancillary fees, e.g. draftsmen, when necessary.
