Overview of Award

Creative Destruction Lab-West (CDL-West) Mentorship Experience

The Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) - West is a program for early-stage massively scalable, science-based ventures. The program helps innovators transition from science projects to high-growth companies. Since the launch of CDL in 2012, over 1,000 founders representing more than 500 companies have participated in the program.

The High School Girls Program is an initiative run by CDL that is created and recognized to support young women interested in STEM. The program invites female high school students who are ambitions and curious about entrepreneurship, technology, or science-based innovation to apply for the opportunity to observe a CDL session.

JABC is partnering with CDL-West to offer this outstanding one-day mentorship opportunity for eight (8) JABC Company Program In-School/After-school girls. The selected applicants will be recommended and if selected will be assigned a mentor and granted an opportunity to attend a full day session at no cost, with lunch provided.

Limited travel bursaries may be available to assist winning student(s) coming from outside of Vancouver.
