2019 Paid Winter Internship


Want to make money and make change in your community?

Homies 4 Justice is a paid internship through Communities United for Restorative Youth Justice (CURYJ). The internship is open to Oakland youth and young adults (ages 14-­19) interested in becoming community leaders. The internship will provide on the job training in community organizing skills, outreach, volunteer member recruitment, culturally rooted education as well as being in a safe and fun space.  Trainings includes social justice political education about racial justice, fighting poverty, gender equality, and ending mass incarceration.

Application Deadline February 4, 2019 at 5pm

Internship Starts February 18, 2019

Meeting Schedule: Mondays & Wednesdays

Meeting times: 4pm-7pm with some weekends

Compensation: $15 per hour up to 8 hours per week
