Latin America Regional Meeting 2025 & Critical Thinking Workshop

Latin America Regional Meeting 2025 & Critical Thinking Workshop

GISF members and associates are invited to join us for the Latin America Regional Meeting, on 3 February 2025 to share insights, strengthen professional networks, and engage in in-depth discussions on regional security challenges and geopolitical dynamics for 2025. This gathering is especially valuable for Regional Security Leads, offering a collaborative platform to address emerging issues and build collective solutions.

As part of this meeting, participants will also have the opportunity to attend a Critical Thinking Training course on February 4-5, led by GISF and the World Vision Analysis Unit. This training is part of an initiative to offer more regional support, helping participants conduct effective analysis and tackle the challenges of today’s information pollution.

About the Training:
In today’s fast-paced information age, where news and data are both abundant and easily accessible, we are not just consumers but also distributors of information. However, this abundance often comes with risks, such as the spread of misinformation and fake news. The ability to critically analyze and evaluate the information we encounter is more important than ever for effective decision-making, reducing misinformation, and supporting evidence-based partnerships.

The Critical Thinking Training is a concise, practical course focused on media awareness and tools for interpreting news and online content. Participants will learn to:

Navigate the complexities of the modern information landscape.
Identify and filter out misinformation or “information pollution.”
Develop informed perspectives and make evidence-based decisions.
If you are interested in attending, please register using the link above. For any questions or for further information, please contact members@gisf.ngo.
