Parent/Caregiver Support Group Intake Form

Introduction
Thank you for your interest in Gender Spectrum's support groups for parents/caregivers of children and teens.

If you are the parent of a child older than 19, please email info@genderspectrum.org for other resources.

We have various support group options that are great sources of help for adults who are navigating the ongoing gender development of their child. Our groups are peer support groups facilitated by a Gender Spectrum staff member or trained volunteers; they are not therapy groups. These groups are for parents/caregivers and other adults raising gender-expansive youth. Children and youth do not attend or participate in these groups. There is no fee to participate. Please see below for a description of each group:

The National Parent/Caregiver Support Group is a group for all parents/caregivers of transgender, non-binary, gender expansive, and gender questioning youth 19 and younger. This groups meets biweekly on Wednesday evenings.

The Fathers/Masculine of Center Support Group is a group for all fathers and masculine caregivers of transgender, non-binary, gender expansive, and gender questioning youth

19 and younger. This group meets once a month on Monday evenings.

The Grandparents Support Group is for all grandparents of transgender, non-binary, gender expansive, or gender questioning grandchildren 19 and younger. This group meets once a month on Monday evenings.

The Parents/Caregivers of Non-binary Youth Support Group is for all parents/caregivers of non-binary, gender fluid, gender expansive, and gender questioning youth 19 and younger. This group meets once a month on Monday evenings.

The Black/Indigenous/People of Color (BIPOC) Support Group is for any parent/caregiver of color who is the parent/caregiver of a transgender, non-binary, gender expansive, or gender questioning youth 19 and younger. We use an expansive definition of BIPOC to include anyone who identifies as a person of color. This group meets biweekly on Thursday evenings.

We look forward to welcoming you to one (or more) of our groups!
