Opera Camp: How to Create an Opera

Dates: July 29-August 2, 2019

Time: 9:30am-4:30pm (with extended day options 9:00am-5:00am)

Location: First Parish of Brookline

Cost: $500 per student


Extended Day Costs: 

Early Drop-Off: $575 per student: 9:00am - 4:30pm

Late Pick-Up: $575 per student: 9:30am - 5:00pm

Early Drop-Off & Late Pick-Up: $650 per student: 9:00am - 5:00pm


Offered to VOICES Boston singers entering 3rd-8th grade in the 2019-20 school year.


Learn to create your own musical and try each step along the way!  Write your own lyrics and songs.  Create sets, costumes, and props.  Rehearse and perform your world premiere.  Play theatre games, act, sing, draw, design and more! 


Offered in conjunction with BLO's Advanced Opera Creation Professional Development Intensive for Classroom Educations and Teaching Artists.

This is primarily relevant for the older ensembles, whose rehearsals are longer, and who more frequently travel to performances.
