Conference Role

Standard Participant and Observer registrations are SOLD OUT!

Wondering what to do next?
  1. You can still attend NATC 2019 by continuing to register as a participant in one of our Mini-Intensive programs - you are guaranteed entry into the Mini-Intensive of your choice while spaces remain available!

  2. Fill out the Standard Participant & Observer Wait List Form to add yourself to the waiting list for a Standard Participant and/or Observer space. In the event that a space opens up, we'll reach out to you with an opportunity to register.

  3. You can still finish the form you're on now and register yourself for a Mini-Intensive pass, and also fill out the Standard Participant & Observer Wait List Form. If a Standard Participant or Observer space opens up, we'll contact you to see if you would like to change your registration. Please note that registered attendees who fill out the Wait List Form will receive priority of upgrade over individuals on the Wait List who have not yet registered as a conference attendee.

If Options 1 or 3 are of interest to you, we highly recommend that you register for them now. Spaces for Mini-Intensives are limited, and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tiffany Tamaribuchi's Kasuga Style Ondeko Mini-Intensive has sold out. To be added to the waiting list for this program, please e-mail concierge@taikocommunityalliance.org and be sure to indicate which Mini-Intensive you would like to register for. In the event that space becomes available, we will reach out to you with instructions for registering.

What to Know About Your Registration:

NATC Observers will not be given the option to select workshops, but will be allowed to float and observe multiple workshops, if they so choose. Observers may not participate (play) in workshops, but are welcome to watch and take notes. Video recording is NOT permitted in any workshop session without consent of the instructors.

Please note that access to workshops will be determined on a space-available basis. Access to the Mini-Intensives is restricted to enrolled Mini-Intensive participants.

Observers will have access to all NATC programs listed on the Conference Schedule, as well as the Taiko Marketplace. Registration of any type does not include a Taiko Jam ticket, but tickets can be purchased in the "Add-Ons" section of this form.

What to Know About Your Registration:

NATC Participants will be able to select and participate in 4 workshops over the course of 5 sessions. One of these sessions will be left open to attend any of the Discussion sessions offered during that time, if you choose. Your free session will be determined based on your workshop selections.

A list of Workshop Instructors and Workshop Offerings are available for review at natc.taikocommunityalliance.org. The form for selecting your workshop preferences will be released on April 1, 2019. All registered participants will receive an email containing the link to Workshop Selection on this date.

Housing Options

On-campus housing is unavailable to Youth attendees (age 17 and under).

For more information about nearby off-campus housing options, please visit our Housing page at natc.taikocommunityalliance.org/housing.

If you would like to reserve on-campus housing, please fill out the information on this page.

In order to accommodate as many people as possible, we are following the guidelines listed below:

  • Everyone staying in on-campus housing must be officially registered with the conference as a participant, observer, chaperone, Taiko Jam performer, vendor, workshop instructor, or staff member. For liability purposes, we are not allowed to have unaffiliated guests staying in our housing block.
  • Both single- and double-occupancy options are available. The maximum occupancy of each room is 2 people. Those purchasing a double-occupancy package must confirm their roommate before purchasing.
  • All on-campus housing guests must check-in on Friday, August 9th and check-out on Sunday, August 11th. No extended stay options are available.
  • Minors (age 17 and under) are not permitted to stay in on-campus housing. If you are registering and/or traveling with a minor, please note that you are not eligible for on-campus housing. Please see our Housing page for off-campus recommendations based on proximity to the conference site.
  • All sales are final - the refund schedule outlined at the end of this form only applies to conference registration and does not include housing packages.
  • If you would like to reserve on-campus housing, but are not ready to do so today, you may add it to your conference package at any time after completing your registration, so long as space remains available. A link to reserve housing will be provided to you in your confirmation email.

On-Campus Housing is no longer available for immediate purchase.

We are currently working to expand our on-campus housing capacity.

Please e-mail concierge@taikocommunityalliance.org to inquire about the availability of single- and double-occupancy housing.

SUPPORT THE CONFERENCE - JOIN THE DRUMMER'S CIRCLE!

From the very first NATC in 1997, the Drummer’s Circle has recognized individuals who help cover the cost of Conference through donations. TCA is committed to keeping Conference registration costs down to maximize accessibility. This means registration fees only cover 65% of NATC's total expenses. The actual cost of putting on NATC is approximately $600-650 per participant. As such, we rely on the generosity of taiko players LIKE YOU to help make NATC a success, and truly value the goodwill and generosity that are so strong in the Taiko Community.

We welcome donations of any amount, and are offering the following levels of recognition:

FOR INDIVIDUALS
All individuals who make a donation in any amount will be recognized in the conference program as a member of the Drummer’s Circle. In addition, individuals who donate at the levels listed below will receive the following perks:

$250: This level puts you in our Copper Sponsor category - please see our sponsor page for more information about sponsor benefits.

FOR TAIKO GROUPS
This year, we are also encouraging taiko groups to donate to the Drummer’s Circle. All groups that make a donation in any amount will be recognized in the conference program as a Drummer’s Circle Group. In addition, groups that donate at the levels listed below will receive the following perks:
