Group Leaders Job Description
Below is a brief description of what is expected of a Leader at LTC. Please read carefully and acknowledge that you have read and understand the expectations of you, group leader by initialing below.
Thank you for investing in THE Cause. We believe your week at Lead THE Cause (LTC) will inspire you, empower your group, focus your ministry, and transform your community. In preparation for your week at LTC, here are some expectations we have for you as a group leader:
1. LTC is a time of both training and strategy development. You will be working closely with your church group to seek God’s direction (through prayer and other exercises), and develop a strategic plan to impact your community for THE Cause. Most of your time will be spent in large group sessions, small group time with your church group, and on various outreach experiences. You (along with your team sponsors) will be responsible to lead your group time and outreach experiences. Instructions will be provided by the LTC team.
2. You are responsible for your group (including keeping your group on schedule, maintaining discipline, and dealing with group specific issues as they arise).
3. Prior to attending LTC, you must designate at least one or more leader(s) from your group to manage all prescription and non-prescription medications for your church group. We have attached a medical release form that MUST be signed by each student’s parents BEFORE you arrive on campus. Your assigned leader(s) will be responsible for storing and distributing medications according to the directions given on the prescription label. NO teens are allowed to keep and manage their own medicines while at LTC (with the exception of as-needed medications such as inhalers). Failure to complete this form could result in your students not being allowed to participate in LTC.
4. Prior to attending LTC, you must make a transportation plan for your group. If your students are arriving on campus in their personal vehicles, it is your responsibility to make sure that your student does not leave campus on their own during the week. LTC will NOT provide transportation to off-site activities.

I experience any cold or flu-like symptoms (fever, cough, shortness or breath, or other respiratory problems).
Attendee(s) acknowledge they knowingly and freely assume all such risks related to potential exposure or illness.

Conducts and Agreements
Below is listed Dare 2 Share's (D2S) Statement of Faith. Please read carefully. By signing below, you acknowledge that this is D2S's theological stance.
Statement of Faith
We believe:
In one God, eternally existing in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. He is eternally self-existent, sovereign, righteous, compassionate, holy, loving, and so much more! (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 3:16-27; Galatians 1:1; Ephesians 4:6; Romans 9:5; Colossians 2:9; John 1:1; Acts 5:3-4; Exodus 3:14; Isaiah 6:3; 1 John 4:8)
Jesus Christ is the second Person of the Trinity. He has always been fully God and became fully God and fully human when he was conceived in Mary's womb by the power of the Holy Spirit. He lived the perfect life we could never live and died the horrible death that we deserved. He rose physically from the dead, victorious over sin and Satan. Forty days after his resurrection, he ascended physically into the heavens. He is interceding for us at the right hand of God the Father. He will come back to establish his kingdom on the earth and rule and reign forever with those who have put their faith in him. (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; 1 Timothy 3:16; John 1:1,14; Philippians 2:6; 1 Corinthians 15:3-7; Romans 8:34)
The Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity who was fully active in the creation of the world and is fully active in the regeneration of those who put their faith in Jesus. He indwells believers at the moment of salvation and is with them continuously until the day of redemption. He empowers believers to live a life full of "joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control" (Galatians 5:22-23). The Holy Spirit give spiritual gifts to believers that allow them to serve others and empowers them to clearly and confidently share the Gospel with unbelievers. (Genesis 1:2; John 14:26; Acts 5:3-4; 1 Corinthians 12:4-13; 2 Corinthians 3:17-18; Ephesians 1:13-14; 1 John 2:20)
Scripture was written by men but inspired by God. This means that every word, passage, and chapter of the Holy Scriptures, though penned by humans and retaining the writing style and personality of the human authors, was inspired by God himself. Although many came from varying backgrounds and lived in different places and time periods, each of the Biblical authors was guided by the Holy Spirit as he wrote. God's word is reliable, not only in matters of faith and practice, but on every matter it touches. (Psalm 19:7-11; Psalm 119; Matthew 5:18; Luke 24:44-46; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12-13; 2 Peter 1;20-21)
The Gospel ("good news of Jesus") tells the whole story of creation from Genesis 1 to Revelation 22. It is a clear and simple message that has a deep and profound impact on those who receive it by faith. At Dare 2 Share we unpack this story in six simple statements that spell out GOSPEL (the G.O.S.P.E.L. acrostic).
G
od created us to be with Him. (Genesis 1-2)
O
ur sins separate us from God. (Genesis 3)
S

P

E

L

Participant's Initials (Faith)

Code of Conduct
"Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus" Philippians 2:5
While at LTC you will be around campus personnel, other groups sharing the campus, and serving in the local community. We must be above reproach in our attitudes and actions, at all times, to be sure that we are reflecting the character of Jesus.
Our responsibility is to be a positive example to others on and off site. Therefore:
No alcohol, chewing tobacco, drugs, etc.
No guys and girls in each other's rooms or inappropriate interaction with team members of the opposite sex.
No bad attitudes, cursing, coarse words, etc.
No inappropriate entertainment activities, movies, places, attire, etc.
Any questions on what is appropriate in the Code of Conduct can be directed to the LTC Director of Events.
At Dare 2 Share our driving principal is:
We strive to do the right thing in the right way for the right reasons as we minister to one another.
Participant's Initials (Conduct)
Technology Media Code of Conduct
D2S allows the use of technology medium (e.g. cell phones, smart phones, laptops, social media, and other similar communication technology) during LTC. Technology and social media is a lifestyle in our current day and generation. The LTC program will have key elements where technology will be useful in the training. However, we will uphold integrity and a conduct that is appropriate as a follower of Christ in the use of outward communication.
I will use my technological medium in a manner that is fitting to the program and for emergency purposes.
My communication using technology and social media will be done with integrity, truth, and in a manner that is appropriate for a Christ follower.
I will focus on the training when required and set aside my technology and the use of it when not required so that I can gain as much from the program as I can and be an attentive leader of my group.
Participant's Initials (Tech/Media)
Driving Agreement
Due to liability and some accommodation restrictions (parking, etc.), any participant with a car and/or of driving age will be required to refrain from the personal use of their or any other vehicle throughout the LTC program and stay. Participants understand that travel to and from locations involving the program will NOT be provided by D2S.
