LUVRegistration Portal: LUV Agreement

Please consider this document a formal notice that

will be hosting one or more Level Up Village (LUV) courses.

By signing the document below or running this Level Up Village class, you hereby agree to acknowledge and accept that:

COURSE INFORMATION

  • Class dates and enrollment must be confirmed to Level Up Village by the Host School no later than 21 days prior to the first class for each course

  • Level Up Village aims to pair every student in a 1:1 pairing where a 1:1 partnership is planned. Where the need arises, due to slight differences in student numbers between classes, students in the Host School may be paired 1:2 in discussion with the Host School. Additionally, although always avoided if possible, should the need arise to pair 2:1 this will be discussed with the Host School and the appropriate students chosen for this partnership.

  • Additional students added to a class less than 21 days prior to the first class will still participate fully but are not guaranteed a 1:1 partnership immediately with a partner student in courses where a 1:1 partnership is planned, although every effort will be made to pair them as soon as possible.

  • Level Up Village may cancel a course due to inadequate enrollment at any time prior to the course start date.

  • Minimum course enrollment is as specified in the confirmatory registration email depending on the course type and any specific arrangements made with the Host School.

INVOICING AND REFUNDS

  • An invoice will be sent to the Host School Billing Contact for the amount of students on the roster, or group of students.  Payment must be made by check unless other arrangements are made prior to the first class.

  • The Host School must notify Level Up Village of a student’s withdrawal from a course no later than 24 hours prior to the second class to qualify for a refund.

CANCELLATION AND DATE CHANGE FEES

  • Each weekly class within a course is scheduled to take place within a seven (7) day timeframe. If the Host School is unable to complete a class during a scheduled week due to unforeseen circumstances, such as weather related school closure, they must provide Level Up Village with as much advance notice as possible of the class cancellation. This should be done by emailing the LUV team at support@levelupvillage.com.

  • In-School courses cancelled within 21 days of the agreed upon first class date are subject to a $100 cancellation fee.

  • Courses rescheduled – defined as moving the first class date more than seven (7) days from the originally agreed upon date – may be charged a $50 date change fee to accommodate the set up and preparation already undertaken by the global partner classroom.

  • Level Up Village has a pre-set schedule of course start dates throughout the year at approximately three weekly intervals. We strive to schedule your course to start on one of these dates to accommodate our partner schools. Please be flexible with your start date where possible to ensure the most effective pairing process.

TECHNOLOGY LIAISON

  • The Host School must provide a technology liaison, or teacher, to work with the LUV team as follows:

    • They must fill out a LUV basic technology document (detailing class requirements) at least 14 days in advance of the first class of a new LUV course

    • They are requested by LUV to carry out a short ‘platform’ test to ensure LUV technology requirements for the class are met by the school’s systems (approximately 15-30 minutes)

    • When required, they would be asked to ensure correct installation of applications on student and instructor devices at least 14 days in advance of the first class of a new LUV course, in order for testing to be completed as usual (only required for one class)

    • They should be available prior to, and preferably during, the first LUV class to ensure technology is working and to demonstrate how to use other relevant technology, e.g., smart board, internet access, etc as required

    • They, or a designated person, should be available via phone and/or email during all classes to support a Level Up Village class, if applicable.

SPECIAL NEEDS STUDENTS

  • The Host School must notify Level Up Village of any accommodations necessary for participation by any student at least 14 days in advance of the first class.  Any accommodation that will not substantially impede the conduct of the class will be honored by Level Up Village.

PRIVACY

  • The Host School has read our Student Privacy Notice - available at http://www.levelupvillage.com/privacy-policy/ - and understands the Host School’s obligations regarding parental notification and consent for our processing of student personal information, notably, in the United States, under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

UNTIL OTHERWISE NOTIFIED, THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS WILL BE IN EFFECT FOR THE LEVEL UP VILLAGE COURSES LISTED HEREIN AND ANY SUBSEQUENT COURSES CONDUCTED AT YOUR SCHOOL.
