Selecting Your Programs

Repair Families will host 3 sessions (fall, winter, spring) beginning in fall 2019. The fall session will focus on food justice. Over the 8 sessions between September and November, families will come together to learn and volunteer around local food justice issues. This includes apple picking for 412 Food Rescue, gardening at Sheridan Avenue Orchard, and sorting donations at Squirrel Hill Food Pantry.

Programs are geared towards families with kids pre-school and elementary age, however older & younger siblings are welcome! Each program includes two learnings and reflections around the issue area- one for kids and one for parents. Parents will get to connect with each other and think about how to engage with their family in a kid-friendly way around issues facing our community.
