MEMBERSHIP
Criteria for FULL PPN Membership

Note that a group qualifies to be a member of the Limerick PPN if it 

  • is volunteer-led
  • is formally organised with a constitution or a set of rules
  • has regular meetings and is open to new membership
  • carries out most of their activity in Limerick
  • is in existence for at least 6 months
  • keeps records of meetings (i.e. minutes or notes)
Criteria for ASSOCIATE PPN Membership

Associate membership of Limerick PPN is open to groups and organisations not eligible for full membership but who:
  • Engage with or support the PPN.
  • Are an established community group, organisation or service with clear governance structures.
  • Work in related, supportive or similar fields to that of the PPN or its members.
  • Agree to comply with PPN Constitution.
  • Are established in Limerick for at least six months.

Associate Members can attend PPN meetings, join Linkage Groups and receive information (such as newsletters, notices and minutes of meetings), but they do not have voting rights and they cannot represent or be elected to represent the PPN on external committees and they cannot sit on the Secretariat

THE LEGAL STUFF
What will Limerick PPN do with your information?
Groups joining Limerick PPN are providing us with their contact details in order to enable them to be fully consulted and included in the local democratic processes as well as in the national network of PPNs.  Groups joining the PPN are entering an agreement that the details they supply may be shared with other members of the network, with the elected representatives of the PPN, with members of Limerick PPN’s secretariat, with the Environmental Pillar, with Limerick  City and County Council and with other bodies or persons who require access in order to facilitate the ongoing work of the PPN. 

When you join Limerick  PPN you are also agreeing to receive emails and newsletters from us.  Limerick PPN will not supply the information provided to it to any person or organisation not engaged in PPN work or activities or in the community and voluntary sector inLimerick.

In the future  Limerick PPN may display the names and locations of member groups on its website. Individuals or member groups may request to have their personal data supplied to them and/or removed from or updated on the register by giving 30 days’ notice to Limerick  PPN.
