Hey there! Are you ready to take the first step towards a purposeful work that is para sa bata at para sa bayan? Teach for the Philippines (TFP) is a for-purpose, non-stock, non-profit organization that aims to accelerate education reform in the country by developing leaders— Filipinos with the drive and commitment to grow to become the best leader they can be, to serve a purpose that goes beyond oneself: para sa bata at para sa bayan. We have recently opened the 2020 Fellowship Program applications to college seniors graduating in May or June this year. If you’re graduating soon and you think you’ve got what it takes to become a Teacher Fellow for our 2020 Cohort, then brace yourself for a unique and meaningful application journey ahead! Each stage of our admissions process is designed to give candidates a better understanding of the work that we do and the commitment that joining this program will entail. So if you’re curious, we invite you to read on!

  1. Eligibility Check. Gauge your readiness for the program and register your interest!

  1. Full Application Form. Help us get to know you better by your personal, academic work, and extra curricular backgrounds.

  1. Assessment Center. Participate in a variety of activities designed to bring out your leadership potential! One of these activities include a short teaching demonstration.

  1. Final Interview. Meet with a senior member of our leadership team and expound further on your motivations and relevant experiences.

  1. Immersions. Deepen your understanding of the work of a Fellow through various immersive activities and conversations with our Fellows Alumni, and Staff.

  1. Summer Institute (SI). Ready yourself for your two-year journey as a Teacher Fellow in our 7-week pre-service training happening from June to August 2020.

To begin your application, you must first complete our quick Eligibility Check. Upon completion, you have one of two options that you can take:

Option 1. Start working on your Full Application Form. Once you accomplish the Eligibility Check, you will be directed to the link to your Full Application Form. Take this option if you wish to get a headstart in completing your application to the program.

Option 2. Take a pause and complete your Full Application Form within two days after your Eligibility Check. If you wish to know more about the organization and come back to your Full Application Form at a later time, you may read through the resource material that we will send to you via email shortly after you complete your Eligibility Check.

Slots for the Fellowship Program are on a first come first serve basis. Because of the overwhelming support we’ve been receiving since the start of our applications in October last year, we’re down to less than 15 slots left for our 2020 Cohort! This is good news, at the same time a challenge for you. While the deadline for applications is not until April 24, 2020, we’d like to push you towards submitting an application early to have a better chance at securing a slot for our program!
