The George D. Levy Faculty Award recognizes a Cornell University faculty member of any rank whose collaborative efforts within the community have resulted in exemplary and sustained community-engaged projects. The $5,000 award supports a faculty member whose courses, research and other activities best demonstrate:
- Shared/collaborative decision-making that incorporates community voice into the design, implementation and evaluation of the project
- Community capacity building
- Integrating engaged student learning outcomes into course design and delivery
- Planning for sustaining the community partnership
Candidates for this award may be self-nominated or nominated by others.
