This position provides an accessible recreation opportunity through community partnership, the provision of Sport Wheelchairs, Pickleball Equipment, and modified instruction as needed to develop athlete skills, strategy and knowledge of the game of Pickleball. Volunteer responsibilities include: - assist with unloading pickleball equipment onsite - assist with court setup prior to event - help manage registration/check-in as participants arrive - work one on one with participants in pickleball skill progression - participate in pickleball alongside participants - assist with packing NEP vehicle after the event Pre-Requisites for Pickleball: - Volunteers should be appropriately dressed in athletic attire, and are encouraged to bring their own paddle, NEP has equipment available for those not having their own. - Review of Basic Pickleball and Para-Pickleball knowledge (https://www.usapa.org/wheelchair-pickleball/).
