Volunteer Job Description
***Ability to skate and hockey background/knowledge is strongly preferred!*** Our primary need is on-ice pushers to push athletes who are not able to propel themselves. This requires skaters to be able to maintain balance and control, and perform quick starts and stops. Additional responsibilities may include: - Assisting with unloading equipment before practice - Assisting with on-ice drills and activities - Assisting with packing equipment back into NEP vehicle after practice On-ice positions are assigned at the discretion of our coaching staff to ensure player safety. This position provides a wonderful opportunity to interact with a wide range of sled hockey players ranging from first-timers to Paralympic gold medalists. Volunteers will learn about the sport, will help make practices run more smoothly, and will have a lot of fun with our team! **This shift starts at 7:30 AM and ends at 9:30 AM.**
