**This volunteer shift includes round-trip transportation for UNH student volunteers. This position provides an accessible recreation opportunity through community partnership, the provision of adaptive gaming equipment, and modified instruction as needed to support participation in Wii Sports and inclusive, engaging indoor recreation experiences. Volunteer responsibilities include: Meet with NEP staff at the NEP office to assist with loading equipment and event orientation Travel with NEP staff to the event site in an NEP vehicle Assist with unloading and setting up Wii Sports equipment onsite Help manage registration/check-in as participants arrive Assist NEP staff with participant positioning, transfers as needed, and adaptive equipment setup Facilitate and assist participants during Wii Sports gameplay (this includes the ability to manage yourself in an indoor activity space, follow game rules, pace activities appropriately, and safely support participants as needed) Assist with breaking down equipment and packing the NEP vehicle after the event Pre-Requisites for Wii Sports: Volunteers should be comfortable standing for periods of time and engaging in light physical activity. Casual athletic attire recommended. All Wii Sports consoles, controllers, and adaptive equipment will be provided by NEP. Northeast Passage works closely with the University of New Hampshire to provide volunteer opportunities that align with student coursework and department requirements. This volunteer position meets those requirements and provides round-trip transportation from the NEP office for UNH students interested in the position.
