Come support out cycling program at the Windham Rail Trail in Windham, NH! Northeast Passage provides adaptive sport programming to participants of all ages and abilities. Participant fitting and instruction is provided by NEP staff with adaptive cycling training and expertise. This event provides the unique opportunity to learn about adaptive cycling equipment and adaptations, including recumbent trikes, hand cycles, and tandem riding options. Volunteer responsibilities include: - assist with unloading equipment onsite - assist with fitting participants to equipment - ride with or walk alongside participants for duration of ride. Distance may vary depending on participant - help manage registration/check-in as participants arrive - assist with packing NEP vehicle after the event Pre-Requisites for Cycling Volunteers: - ability to safely ride a cycle (two and/or three wheel options available) appropriate for the terrain, and model trail stewardship - assist with trail navigation, time and group management - enthusiastic commitment in all weather conditions (heat, rain, etc) - STRONGLY RECOMMENDED- Your own well-tuned cycle appropriate for the terrain and helmet, appropriate clothes for riding If you have cycling experience, please let NEP staff know!
