Moore Laboratory of Zoology at Occidental College
Come join us for our MLK Days Expedition to Occidental College to visit with the Moore Lab of Zoology! Your young scientists will learn all about the amazing research that is being completed next door to our Academy site. With the faculty, students, and researchers of the Moore Lab, your scientists will take part in a bird walk, explore the inner workings of genomics laboratories (and learn what the means!) and tour the amazing collection of birds housed on campus. During this time, your students will be able to spend time with women who work in these laboratories, study a wide range of disciplines including bioinformatics, and those who care for the specimen. In the afternoon, we will spend time with Boundless Brilliance to take a deeper dive into their love for all things science. It will be a great day and we hope you'll be able to join us!
