NextGen Conferences - 2020 Application

Thank you for your interest in attending a conference as part of CDN's NextGen Leadership program! If you are accepted, you will have the chance to attend sessions, learn about the latest research in diabetes care and technology, meet with mentors in your field, and represent CDN at our exhibit booth.

By attending a conference with CDN, you have the unique opportunity to engage on a one-on-one basis with leaders in the diabetes community, to share your career goals, and to make connections that will help further your career. CDN will directly pair you with mentors, provide you access to resources designed for young professionals, and give you a cost-free opportunity to become a leader in the diabetes community.

Unless otherwise indicated, CDN will cover all transportation, lodging, and meals for the conference.

Please complete all of the information on this application to the best of your ability.  Please submit your application by March 1st, 2020. After your application has been received and we move forward with your candidacy, you will be asked to complete a phone interview to discuss your application, career goals, and knowledge of CDN. After all phone interviews are completed, accepted applicants will be notified.

Accepted applicants will be chosen to attend one of the three conferences listed below based on preference, fit, and available opportunities. If you cannot attend one or more of the conferences, please indicate so in your preferences.

The American Diabetes Association's (ADA) 80th Scientific Sessions

American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE) Annual Meeting

AADE's Annual Meeting allows aspiring CDE's the opportunity to attend educational sessions about clinical care, access to new advancements in the field, and the opportunity to engage with CDE's across the country. By attending this conference, you will have many opportunities to engage with professionals across the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE) and the National Certification Board of Diabetes Educators (NCBDE).
