the Award
With the Champion
of the Year Award, the Partnership for the 21st
Century Conservation Service Corps (P-21CSC) honors people who have played an
integral role in partnering with 21CSC programs that engage the next generation
of outdoor stewards, recreationists, and entrepreneurs on
public lands. Nominees should be individuals who, through their role at an
organization or government agency, have partnered with 21CSC programs to
complete projects. Winners will be recognized during the February meeting of
the P-21CSC, which will take place in Washington, DC as part of The Corps Network 2020 National
Conference, February 9-12.
About the 2020 Selection Process
The Co-Chairs of the P-21CSC invite Corps to participate in selecting
the 2020 Champions of the Year. With your assistance, our goal is to choose three
awardees that represent different parts of the country, different
agencies/organizations, and reflect the rich diversity of programs and
partnerships that comprise the 21CSC initiative.

By COB Eastern Time on Thursday, 10/24,
please complete this brief form to recommend a candidate.

On Friday, 10/25, everyone
who recommended a candidate will receive a list of all recommended candidates to
review.

On Monday, 10/28, you
are invited to join the Co-Chairs of the Partnership for the 21CSC for a call
to discuss recommended candidates and select winners.

Employees of the various
federal agencies with whom Corps Partner, including agencies
within the Department of the Interior or
Department of Agriculture [NPS, USFS, BLM, USFWS, BOI, USGS,
BOR, etc.], Army Corps of Engineers, DOT, NOAA, etc.

Employees of conservation-related
national nonprofits with whom Corps partner.
·
Employees of state or local
park/resource management agencies and organizations.
