Priority 1:
Development of our organisation wide PBS Strategy which covers our values, recruitment, support for our team, training and stakeholder involvement.
Measure of Success:
Our team are recruited for their values and are in turn supported by providing them with the tools, support and knowledge needed to deliver high quality, personalised support which is always the least restrictive and aims to improve the quality of life of the people we support.
Priority 2:
Development of PBS coaches and practice leaders who can support teams and individuals in their locality to develop bespoke and individualised strategies to enhance quality of life.
Measure of Success:
Teams feel supported. PBS plans meet the needs of individuals in the least restrictive way, enhancing quality of life. Preventative strategies see a decrease in incidences of behaviours of concern.
Priority 3:
Review of policies and procedures for PBS and restraint avoidance/reduction.
Measure of Success:
Introduction of a range of data collection tools, analysed by competent practice leads who support teams to reflect and continually learn. Trained team members who are skilled in carrying out functional assessment and developing PBS plans for all clients. Improved reporting and management information on behaviours of concern to support lessons learnt and develop organisation wide improvements.
