Priority 1:
We look to develop our staff to help with investment in restraint reduction and to improve them as caregivers. We plan on using safeward approaches to equip them with skills to use person-centred approaches. We also have someone who has used our service who we are looking at using for peer consultancy to help support our children.
Measure of Success:
We have a training matrix to review all our staffing and competencies. We are also using leadership in our teams to review the quality of care.
Priority 2:
As one of the 6 pillars of restraint reduction it is important we have Leadership and ensure support and investment in training.
Measure of Success:
We have invested in staff training and this has been identified from Leadership working with staff closely and assessing skills to help them grow to support our children.
Priority 3:
Our priority is Data collection and analysis to ensure we are capturing incidents and recording them properly, so we have a true reading of and incidents. We use this to debrief staff and the person effected to help educate and improve our PBS plans and approaches.
Measure of Success:
To use our in house reporting system that has a built-in analysis system and review all incidents and RAG rate them. we also support staff in training and collating data.
