Priority 1:
Ensure all training staff are fully familiar with all the theoretical and practical concepts to be able to effectively deliver training in de-escalation, distraction, conflict resolution, communication skills, understanding staff behaviours and attitudes and to ensure this is kept under an at-least-annual review.
Measure of Success:
By end of March 2021, all trainers will have been reviewed both by internal moderation and observation during training delivery
Priority 2:
To ensure all training materials are summarised by an understanding that an approach to SEEING is maintained following any incident ("S"tart by ensuring that emotional and physical control is regained, "E"valuate the basic facts, "E"xplore patterns or triggers for the behaviour, "I"nvestigate alternatives to the behaviour, "N"egotiate future approaches, expectations and behaviour, "G"ive control back; provide support and encouragement)

Priority 3:
Following delivery of training, gather staff perceptions comparing any previous models of training undertaken with a view to identifying changes in understanding and practice. Undertake studies with top clients to identify reduction in necessary breakaways and necessary restrictive practices being undertaken on an annual basis.
Measure of Success:
Undertake qualitative reviews of staff following training to ensure attitudes are changing towards how restrictive practices are viewed
