Priority 1:
We are working on a programme of autonomous teams and leadership, coaching and mentoring. We understand the people we support will benefit from people who are reflective practitioners and we consider that within our organisation we are all on a journey of self-development, believing that if we get stuck then the people we support will also get stuck.
Measure of Success:
Our measure of success will be in the development of our autonomous teams, when we have leaders who are thoughtful and reflective and who can give and receive honest meaningful feedback. Additionally, when all the people we support are living lives that make sense to them, free from the restrictions of institutional living.
Priority 2:
To collect data and use it inform our practice.
Measure of Success:
When each person we support is no subject to restrictive practice or we can show a reduction in the use of restrictive pratice.
Priority 3:
To have a champion in each team that takes responsibility for the PBS work.
Measure of Success:
Each person we support will have a functional behaviour assessment plan and the staff will be better informed about why a person might engage in such a behaviour.
