Priority 1:
Full adoption of the digital behaviour monitoring software "Iris Adapt" across the two schools. All staff to be equipped with the skills and knowledge to record any behavioural incidents using the software. This will put us in a position where our data can be reviewed, analysed and used to inform future practice.
Measure of Success:
All staff will be confident to access the system and input behavioural reports and incidents as they occur. Adoption of the system will be evidenced by the complete removal of the paper based system that is currently in use. Using the recorded data, analysis reports will be produced for the Headteacher's report.
Priority 2:
In line with our increasing capacity, we want to increase the number of trained What's the message? instructors across the school. This would ease the burden on the existing trainers and mean that each school site had a greater pool to call upon. It would also mean that the trainers could hone their knowledge in the age group of the school in which they are based.
Measure of Success:
There will be at least one more additional trainer at the Oakhill site and at least two more trainers on the Hazelbrook site, who will have completed the full instructor training and are able to support the delivery of What's the message training during INSET days and targeted training for individual classes.
Priority 3:
To develop and implement a system to capture the views and opinions of our learners with respect to their positive learning plans, their annual review contribution and their hopes and dreams. All learners will be provided with a means appropriate to their level of understanding and communication skills to share their views and opinions.
Measure of Success:
All learners irrespective of age, cognitive level or developmental stage will be able to make a contribution of some form to their annual review, positive learning plan and their hopes and dreams document. They will be provided with a means appropriate to their level of understanding and communication skills to share their views and opinions.
