students —Join us for a
special inclusive musical theater opportunity this winter! Today 60 million
Americans live with some form of disability. The future depends on all of us
seeing the value and need for inclusive experiences that include people with a
variety of abilities, and the world of musical theater is no exception.
looking for 15 Spotlight Education students to work side by side with a
local group of adults with a variety of disabilities from Sabes Jewish Community
Center's Inclusion program. We will hold a series of seven workshops and two
short performances over six weeks, led by three outstanding local theater professionals in voice,
dance and acting.
Technical Theater Students
also in need of a small group of Spotlight students interested in technical theater — areas such as stage management, costumes, props, sound/lighting, etc. Those students will work with a fourth local professional who
specializes in theater tech.
A Blue Man Group Ticket
addition to the training and experience you’ll receive at the workshops, you’ll
also have the option to receive a ticket to join the group at a performance of the touring
Broadway show Blue Man Group on Sunday, Feb. 9 at 1 pm! You'll get to meet some of our JCC friends before the first workshop starts on Feb. 13. (This experience is optional.)
