The  Nonprofit Space Investment Fund (NSIF), a program of the Nonprofit Sustainability Initiative (NSI), provides critical financial support to nonprofits for the acquisition of new, permanent space.  To-date $7.2 million has been awarded and it is anticipated that a minimum of $2.2 million will be available for distribution in this round. 

Before completing this application, please read the "Program Guidelines" document at www.communityvisionca.org/sfsustainability for program eligibility requirements.
  • NSIF grants can finance acquisition costs or an upfront payment for a long-term lease (55 year minimum).
  • All applicants are required to complete a consultation call prior to submitting an application.  The consultation calls are available between December 12, 2019 - January 17, 2020. The last day to schedule a consultation call is January 13th.  To register for a call please email Karen Sullivan at ksullivan@communityvisionca.org.
  • Applications  must be received by noon (12pm Pacific) on Tuesday February 4th, 2020 to be considered for a NSIF award.  Applications submitted after noon (12pm Pacific) on Tuesday February 4th, 2020 or deemed incomplete will not be accepted.  
  • Community Vision encourages applicants to submit their applications before the February 4th deadline so that any technical problems that arise can be resolved before the deadline.
  • The target date for award notification is March 26, 2020.
