Complete Habitat for Humanity Seattle-King County's Homeownership Application and click Submit. Please allow at least one hour to fill out the application and be as thorough as possible. 

You will be required to upload supporting financial documents, including the following:
  • copies of completed and signed tax returns with W-2s and/or 1099s 
  • 3 months pay stubs 
  • 3 months bank statements. 
  • Pre-approval letter
There is a nonrefundable credit report fee that you will be required to pay at the end of this application. 

You can save and resume your application at any time, however you cannot make additional edits once it has been submitted. After submitting your application, Habitat SKC staff will review your application and contact you for the next steps. Click "Next Page" to begin the application.

Personal References
Applicants are required to provide two personal references. These references can be friends, neighbors, coworkers, etc. as long as they know either the applicant, co-applicant, or both applicants. Family members are not allowed to be a personal reference.

Criminal History
Habitat for Humanity SKC will check with the Washington State Patrol on criminal records for all family members over the age of 18. However, a felony conviction does not necessarily disqualify you from consideration for a Habitat home.

Willingness To Partner
To be considered for a Habitat home, families must contribute a minimum of 250 hours of "sweat equity."

Financial Assessment Documents
All of these documents are required, unless otherwise noted. You have the option to upload them to this application, fax them to 206-855-5193, or mail them into our office. Uploaded pictures of the required paperwork will not be accepted, all documents must be uploaded in PDF form. If you are missing documents, you will be notified and given a final due date. Any incomplete applications will result in a withdrawal from the homeownership program.

First-come-first-serve

Habitat for Humanity Seattle King County resale homes are sold on a first-come-first-serve-basis. We encourage you to submit your application, supporting documents, and pre-approval for financing quickly and accurately. 


We will review and approve the applicants eligibility based on the timing of their submission of Habitats full application. A Habitat full application is defined as the Habitat application with all required documents listed on the Financial Assessment Documentation Checklist. (attached) 


Upon receiving a complete application we will send you an email to confirm the date of submission. If it is not complete, we will send you a list of missing documents.  Once we receive the missing documents we will send you a confirmation email to confirm the date of resubmittal.


We are here to help, so if you have any questions or concerns, or would like us to review your application before submittal contact homeowner services staff. Please do not submit original documents, you are responsible for making copies or scans as needed.

Payment Information
There is a $25 nonrefundable fee per applicant to pull a credit report. You are hereby authorized to release to Habitat for Humanity Seattle-King County any information you may have in your files concerning the applicant(s), including but not limited to: employment records, bank accounts, loan accounts, credit and financial reports and mortgage and contract records.
