Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Chicago Foundation for Education (CFE)!
We will be holding Study Group Coach Grant Reviews on Wednesday, March 4 and Thursday, March 5 at the CFE office (641 W. Lake St., Suite 200).
CFE’s Study Group Coach Grants are awarded to experienced Pre-K-12th grade teachers interested in sharing a Teaching Approach with colleagues across the Chicago Public School district. CFE considers a Teaching Approach to be a particular methodology or thematic project involving multiple teaching strategies that has been proven to increase student achievement. Each Coach mentors 6-8 teachers in implementing a Teaching Approach in their own classrooms.
Notes to Know
Past CFE grant review experience, or similar grant review experience with another organization, is preferred.
Volunteers are expected to stay for the entire duration of their assigned review session(s) in order to participate in the discussion component of the Coach Grant Reviews.
Current Study Group Coach applicants are unable to participate in the Coach Grant Reviews.
Reviewers who encounter proposals written by someone they know or work with must recuse themselves accordingly.
