Welcome to the Connect Fund Expression of Interest form

The Barrow Cadbury Trust delivers the Connect Fund, on behalf of the Access Foundation, to develop the social investment market and to meet the needs of charities and social enterprises.

This form is the initial application for grant funding and social investment from the Connect Fund. We strongly recommend that you read the funding guidelines to determine eligibility and to inform the suitability of your request for funding.

Please note the Fund does not fund frontline charities or social enterprises involved in direct service delivery. If you are a frontline organisation with questions about, or seeking, social investment you should consult Good Finance

Following the submission of your enquiry, we will review the information you have provided and follow up with further questions, if necessary. If you progress to the next stage, we will ask you to complete a full online application form. 

This form is short, but if you want to see all the questions before you start, you can navigate through the pages using the page number links at the top of the form. You can either type directly into the form or, if you prefer, you can cut and paste from another application such as Word. You are strongly advised to save your form by using the links at the top of the form. Please note that by submitting this form you agree to the Barrow Cadbury Trust holding the personal details you provide. If you do not wish your details to be held, you should not submit an application to the Trust.

funding guidelines before completing this section of the form.  We have very specific criteria, and will not consider projects that fall outside them. You can find out what we are currently funding by checking the grants list in the “Funded Work” section of our website, and ring us (0207 6329087) if you think your project might fit one of our priorities but are not sure.

Contact details

This must be the legal name of your organisation (the name that is on your governing document)

Your Companies House number must be 8 digits long. If it less than 8 digits, add zeros at the beginning to make it up to an 8 digit string. For example: xxxxxx becomes 00xxxxxx.


Project details

It may take us up to four months to assess your project (usually less for smaller applications). Please bear this in mind when setting a start date, and be realistic about what you can achieve.


Project Budget

Once you have completed the form and are ready to submit your application, please click Submit below.  You are strongly advised to save your work via the link at the top of the form before doing this Once you click Submit, you will see a new screen with the content of your form.  You will have a chance to review this before clicking Confirm to submit your application.  Once your form is successfully submitted, you will see a confirmation screen, and an email with a copy of your form will be sent to you.
