Expressions Of Interest

Several charities in South Australia have been negatively impacted during this time. With many of their volunteers classified as ‘high risk’, they are short on support.

We are mobilising the Encounter Youth Green Team to assist these charities to support people in vulnerable situations.

There are currently four options of charities to volunteer for:

Meals on Wheels

Location: Murray Bridge and Ceduna

Days of operation: Monday - Friday

There are two roles:

-Sorting and packing frozen and special meals into boxes ready for deliverers to pick up.

-Deliver meals to customer's homes using your own car.

Habitat for Humanity

Location: Davoren Park

Days of operation: Tuesday - Friday

The role: Being willing to pitch in to help build houses for disadvantaged families. You do not need a trade just a willingness to help out.

Puddle Jumpers

Location: Edwardstown, Hackham and Christies Downs.
Days of operation: Monday and Friday.
The Role: One of the main focuses in the Food Drive-by for vulnerable families. Volunteers can assist by packing bags of non- perishable food items for the operation and by also handing them out at the food drive locations.

Backpacks 4 SA Kids

Location: Para Hills West

Days of operation: Monday & Tuesday

The role: Packing and sorting bags for vulnerable children and young people.
