Refund Policy: Your fee is subject to the following Refund Policy. Fully refundable if: (1) cancellation is received at least 30 days prior to the program start date AND (2) cancellation is received within 72 hours of registration. 50% refundable if: Cancellation is received at least 30 days prior to the program start date, but not within 72 hrs of registration. Non-Refundable if: Cancellation received less than 30 days prior to the program start date. If you are using any tuition credit as payment, we ask that you cancel at least 30 days prior to the program start date to retain full tuition credit.
Code of Conduct: While participating in a virtual GLA program, participants are expected to act in a way that is respectful, promotes the educational goals of the program and ensures the safety of all participants. Conduct expectations are as follows:
Participate and remain committed to the program. This means participants should approach all activities with an open mind and participate in all aspects of the program. Participants recognize that completion documents such as certificates of completion, community service hours or recommendation letters are earned and not automatically awarded. GLA may reduce service hours, completion hours or revoke recommendations in response to lack of participation or conduct violations.
Participants must show decency, civility, and respect towards each other and staff. Disciplinary action will be taken if participants do not maintain this culture towards each other before, during, or after the program. Participants come from all walks of life and GLA embraces diversity and actively fosters a culture of acceptance, inclusivity and tolerance, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion or socioeconomic status.
Inappropriate actions which will trigger disciplinary measures include without limitation: Bullying tactics, insensitive or offensive language or behavior, engaging in behavior disruptive to the goals of the program, harassment, intimidation, any act intended to exclude or cause harm to another person physically or psychologically, sexually graphic materials, sharing photos/content that could be considered violent or threatening, references to/photos of illegal use of alcohol, illegal drugs/illicit substances, sharing content or photos that may be considered insulting, offensive, or defamatory, gender harassment, seductive behavior or imposition, solicitation of sexual activity by promise of reward or threat of punishment, assault, comments or actions which criticize a person based upon gender or sexuality, whistling or making animalistic noises towards an individual, giving gifts or photos that are sexually suggestive, repeatedly asking a person to socialize when he/she has said no or has indicated disinterest, or the display and or distribution (virtually or physically) of offensive. Verbal or physical threats of violence towards other participants or staff will result in immediate removal from the program.
Violations of the Code of Conduct will trigger disciplinary action which could include expulsion from the GLA program or a complete elimination or reduction of community service hours, completion hours or recommendations. While most Code of Conduct violations result in immediate expulsion from the program, there may be instances where a verbal warning or written contract may precede expulsion when deemed appropriate by staff. In the case of expulsion, the participant will be removed from the program, even if there is only one day remaining, without refund.
Media Release: The Participant grants permission to Terra and each of its Affiliates, to record the participation in the GLA Program on video tape, audio tape, disc, film, photograph, digital storage, the cloud or other medium and to use participants name, likeness, voice and biographical material in connection with these recordings for Terra’s sales and marketing purposes only. The Participant further grants to Terra and each of its Affiliates, the right and permission to reproduce, distribute, perform, display, and make derivative works of any or all such recordings solely for Terra’s sales and marketing purposes via the Internet, television, radio, satellites, wireless broadcast or other means of transmission now known or subsequently developed. The Participant waives any right to inspect or approve the recordings, or any derivative works thereof, prior to Use by Terra or its Affiliates. The Participant understands and agrees that the Participant will not have any right to receive royalties or any other compensation in connection with Terra's, or its Affiliates', Use of the Recordings, or derivative works thereof. The Participant releases the Terra Group from any and all claims and demands arising out of or in connection with the Use of the Recordings, and derivative works thereof, including, without limitation, any and all claims for libel, slander, defamation, and invasion of right of privacy/publicity.
Agreement: The Participant further understands that participation in the GLA Program may be terminated without refund if the participant displays any acts of violence or inappropriate sexual activity towards another participant or if Terra determines, in its sole discretion, that the conduct of the Participant is incompatible with the goals, interests, harmony, or integrity of the GLA Program, or meaningfully impedes or infringes on the interests or well-being of other participants. The Participant understands and agrees that the GLA Program tuition & fees will not be refunded.
