Welcome to the Connect Fund Enquiry form

The Barrow Cadbury Trust delivers the Connect Fund, on behalf of Access - The Foundation for Social Investment, to strengthen the social investment market in England to better meet the needs of charities and social enterprises.

This form is the initial application for grant funding from the Connect Fund. We strongly recommend that you read the funding guidelines to determine eligibility and to inform the suitability of your request for funding.

Please note the Fund does not fund frontline charities or social enterprises involved in direct service delivery. If you are a frontline organisation with questions about, or seeking, social investment you should consult Good Finance

Following the submission of your enquiry, we will review the information you have provided and follow up with further questions, if necessary. If you progress to the next stage, we will ask you to complete a full online application form. 

This form is short, but if you want to see all the questions before you start, you can navigate through the pages using the page number links at the top of the form. 

You can either type directly into the form or, if you prefer, you can cut and paste from another application such as Word. You are strongly advised to save your form by using the links at the top of the form. As part of this application form, we collect information about you to enable us to contact you.  We may use your information to:

· Contact you regarding your grant application and, if successful, any subsequent grant;

· Contact you regarding matters that are relevant to the Trust’s and your organisation’s mission;

· Send you communications which you have requested;

· Seek your views or comments on the services we provide;

· Notify you of changes to our services.

As this process is being run in partnership with Access - the Foundation for Social Investment, the details of this application will be discussed with relevant contacts at Access, although personal data will not be shared with them. 

We will not sell or rent your information to third parties. Once grants have ended, information will be stored for historical and research purposes.  Electronic information is stored on our database and paper copies are transferred to and managed by Archives and Collections at The Library of Birmingham.  Full details of research access to archived materials can be found in our privacy policy here.

The Connect Fund has re-focused its funding priorities to prepare the infrastructure of the social investment sector to operate in a challenging recovery phase post Covid-19. The work we will fund in the coming months should centre on increasing the capability of market infrastructure to respond to the needs of charities and social enterprises as they seek new income streams and redesign or pivot their business models to survive.
