Clock Hour Committee Review and Approval

Hello Clock Hour Approval Committee Member,

Thank you for supporting PEI and our efforts to ensure that all workshops and inservice professional development opportunities meet OSPI's documentation requirements for providing clock hours. This form is designed to walk you through the clock hour approval process so you can make your final determination and provide feedback. As you complete this form, please have the agenda available for review.

This form is designed so that if all the answers to the questions below are answered with a "Yes," an approval box will appear for you to sign and date the form before you submit it.

If any of the answers to the questions below are answered with a "No," a box will appear stating that the clock hour form needs more information. You will still sign and date the form before you submit it, and the Clock Hour Administrator/PEI Program Director will follow up with you.

As an approved clock hour provider, PEI must have on file an agenda for the workshop or inservice. The agenda must include the following components to meet OSPI requirements:

Dates of the sessions
Number of clock hours available
Facilitator Qualifications
Outcomes
Objectives
Reflection/Planning
STEM Criteria (if requesting STEM clock hours)

As a provider of STEM-related continuing education we must design or support workshops and course offerings that ensure educators will meet the renewal requirements. In order for this workshop to be eligible for STEM clock hours, the workshop coordinator must be able to answer “yes” to the following guiding questions and demonstrate this in their agenda. As an approved clock hour provider, PEI must have on file an evaluation for the workshop or inservice. The evaluation must contain the following components to meet OSPI requirements:

Perception
Reflection
Suggestions
