This year Welcoming America will be holding a photo contest to see who can capture the Welcoming Week theme of “Creating Home Together”. We want photos that provide a powerful, visual representation of community, welcoming, and connection.
Photo submissions can include:
- An art project, a mural, a family gathering, making art with friends, or anything you believe captures the theme of “Creating Home Together”
- Submissions from members of the Welcoming Network, local government officials, and anyone doing welcoming work.
Rules & Regulations
Photos will be judged by how well they capture the spirit of “Creating Home Together”, the creativity of the photo taken, and the interaction of the subjects.
Photo submissions should be dynamic, tell a powerful story, showcase a unique community, or capture a powerful moment.
Participants may submit up to 5 photos entries - make them count!
Photos must have been taken within the past 12 months (preference is given to photos taken during Welcoming Week 2020)
Photos that have been digitally altered beyond standard optimization (removal of dust, cropping, reasonable adjustments to exposure, color and contrast, etc.) will be disqualified.
Welcoming America staff and family members are NOT allowed to participate
All entries must be identified with a title, description, and date taken as well as the entrant's name and their organization (if applicable). Photos submitted without a title and date taken will be disqualified.
