Congress '20: Science in 60 Seconds

The Science in 60 Seconds video contest offers independent emerging filmmakers an opportunity to explore creative ways to tell science stories in digital short format. Videos can be on any science topic and will be judged on creativity, production values, storytelling and clarity for an international audience.

A selection of the videos will be showcased as part of Congress '20. The top three finalists will win free accreditation to Congress '21, and the grand prize winner will win accreditation, hotel and travel to Congress '21.

Applications will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. ET on October 23, 2020

Please note, applicants must be under the age of 35.

Project Information

Please note, all videos must be one minute in length.

Please note all creative work must take place during the official competition period. Any creative work started or completed in advance of the competition is prohibited.

Please note that we are accepting either a 1:1 OR 5:6 (vertical) aspect ratio video for Instagram Feed - max length 60 seconds, or a 9:16 (vertical) aspect ratio video for Instagram Stories / TikTok - max length of 60 seconds (4 x 15 seconds). All content must be provided as an unlisted YouTube video so our selection committee can view the videos.
