TRIATHLON

DEADLINE EXTENDED UNTIL SEPTEMBER 22.

  • ONE MORE TRI is now a virtual triathlon for 2020. You’ll have the flexibility to be a multi-sport athlete and race it on your own time, your own pace and your own space, outdoors! There’s still swimming, biking and running, but also a new Unified Relay option for athletes to take on an accessible endurance challenge of his or her choice. For more information, visit the One More Tri website.

  • Because virtual events are currently not sanctioned with Special Olympics, no SONJ place medals will be awarded to athletes who participate in One More Tri in 2020. Athletes will instead receive a competition certificate along with a One More Tri finisher medal, t-shirt and bib number.

  • Since One More Tri is a non-sanctioned Special Olympics event in 2020, athletes may participate in the virtual triathlon as well as another fall sport.

  • The Unified Relay option provides athletes the chance to get involved and stay fit from home.  Athletes can swim, bike or run.  Or athletes can choose from a list of endurance challenges, like push ups, sit ups, squats or virtual SONJ fitness classes.
