Camden and Islington IT and Digital Capacity Building Survey

Background

For small charities and community groups, IT and Digital can be a real struggle. Unless groups have access to in-house IT and digital support, or a budget to pay for external third-party support, groups can find it difficult to access free or affordable quality advice and support on their IT and digital challenges.

Since February 2020, VAC and the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists (WCIT) have been running a successful pilot of a training and capacity building program in Camden, which delivered face-to-face training to Camden groups via a series of face-to-face workshops. During Covid-19, the sessions moved online, which is proving an effective way of delivering training to a wider cohort of groups. This pilot is now being extended to Islington and we want to build on the initial concept to expand the support offer further.

The objective of this work is to develop “good practice” for IT and digital and to bring interested individuals from Camden and Islington together in a digital network to share, learn from and support each other on IT and digital issues.

Please spend a few minutes completing our survey to tell us more about your IT and digital challenges, what support and training you need and how you want to receive this.

Learning Network

IT and Digital Learning Network

We assume that bringing groups together through an IT and digital network across Camden and Islington could be a great way for groups to connect with other individuals interested in IT and digital, and for the group to support each other by sharing experiences, learning and have access to quality resources and advice.
