Strengthening Racial Justice in the Kansas City Jewish Community

Friday, September 11th from 12pm-1pm CT
Online via Zoom
Join Avodah for a special Zoom panel discussion on becoming an anti-racist Jewish community. The expert panel will explore powerful insights on how to identify implicit biases, recognize racism, and understand what it truly means to be an anti-racist and an ally to African American/Black communities.

This conversation will equip participants with a critical starting point on how we can individually and collectively engage in the work of racial justice.

The panel will bring together Gavriela Geller, Executive Director, JCRB|AJC; Hilary Singer, Executive Director, Jewish Vocational Service; Rabbi Doug Alpert, spiritual leader of Congregation Kol Ami; and Jancyn Appel, Carleton College Student and native of the Kansas City Jewish Community. The moderator for the panel is Nate Looney, Avodah's Manager of Racial Justice Initiatives.

This event is proudly co-sponsored by
Jewish Vocational Service and JCRB| AJC Kansas City.
