At the onset of the pandemic,
Buffalo Jewish Federation partnered with Foundation for Jewish Philanthropies
to establish a Community Compassion Fund to assist those most impacted
by the crisis. The fund provides assistance with mental and physical
health & wellness counseling, food, prescriptions, rent subsidies and other
essentials. Jewish Family Service is administering the distribution of
the fund assuring our community’s most vulnerable populations are taken care of
in the strictest of confidence.
To date, the Fund has
provided over $50,000 to support those most impacted by the pandemic, including
150 JCC workers who were furloughed in late March as well as $15,000 in
distributions to nearly 20 individuals and families through August 2020.
If you know of individuals or
families that could also benefit from these resources, please encourage them to

will help the people of Jewish Buffalo tomorrow.
