Cancellations: If you have to cancel or reschedule a Spanish class, you must email GV at programs@global-visionaries.org 24 hours before the scheduled class. Lessons missed without 24 hours of notice will count as no-shows and you will be charged for the lesson.
Behavior: Students are expected to participate actively and to the best of their abilities. Students are expected to treat Spanish teachers, GV staff members, and other students with respect and kindness. Student-Teacher relationships must remain professional at all times. Crude language, inappropriate discussion topics, or discrimination in any form will not be tolerated. GV reserves the right to refuse any applicant or remove any participant at its sole discretion at any point in the program.
Global Visionaries (GV) Harassment Policy: Harassment against any employee, volunteer, student, student family member or any other person affiliated with GV, on the basis of race, color, sex, religion, national origin, citizenship, age, marital or veteran status, sensory, physical, or mental disability, political ideology, sexual orientation, or any other legally protected status is prohibited. This policy applies to the actions of participants, staff, volunteers, and any other persons who come in contact with GV’s employees or participants.
No Retaliation: As required by law, all participants are prohibited from retaliating against anyone for reporting a concern about possible sexual or other unlawful harassment. Such retaliation may result in discipline or discharge.
Harassment Reporting Procedure: GV’s complaint procedure provides for an immediate, thorough, and objective investigation of any claim of unlawful or prohibited harassment, appropriate disciplinary action against one found to have engaged in prohibited harassment, and appropriate remedies for any victim of harassment. A claim of harassment may exist even if the claimant has not lost a job or some economic benefit.
