  • Balancing the issue of addressing diversity with competing issues

  • Integration with district/town-wide “Umbrella” Group such a Diversity-Equity Leadership Council

School 

  • Supporting the diverse learner in remote education

  • Disparity in the number of students of color on IEPs or taking advanced course work

  • What is the goal when graduating from HS? Preparing students for diverse higher education community and workplace

  • What are the “soft benefits” of a diverse classroom? 

 Implementation

  • Focus on the positive aspects of diversity and the richness and opportunity they bring to all students and the community

  • Competing ideas of having personnel dedicated to the work of diversity as opposed to incorporating it into the life and work of every person
