Scholarship and Honors Program Application

Congratulations on your acceptance to St. Francis College! You’ve been selected to participate in our Scholarship Day competition. This distinct opportunity provides applicants with the chance to win one of four full tuition scholarships.

In addition to our full tuition scholarship, eligible applicants can apply to our Robert J. McGuire Scholarship and Honors Program. Please review the instructions below before you continue with your application.

How to participate:

All applicants must complete their Scholarship Day essay and application no later than 11:59 pm on Friday, February 3rd.
In order to be considered, each applicant must join us for our Scholarship day event on Saturday, February 11th
All applicants must participate in an interview with our Scholarship Day committee. Interviews will be available the week of February 13th – February 17th. If you are applying for multiple programs, you only need to interview one time. 
Applicants who are also applying for the Robert J. McGuire Scholarship and Honors Program must submit their scholarship day essay and complete supplemental application by the outlined deadlines. 

Scholarship Day Details
Scholarship Day is an opportunity for high achieving applicants to participate in an essay competition. Essays will be read by members of our faculty. The top 4 scoring students will receive a full tuition Presidential Scholarship. 

All applicants will receive additional scholarship awards for their participation in the competition. 

Requirements: 
Submit your application to study at St. Francis College
GPA must be an 85 (3.0) or above to be considered for this scholarship

Scholarship Application Process:
Complete and submit your Scholarship Day Essay by Friday, February 3rd.
Attend our Scholarship Day Event on Saturday, February 11th.
Complete interview with a member of our Scholarship Day Committee during the week of Monday, February 13th- Friday, February 17th.
Robert J. McGuire Scholarship Program Details
Robert J. McGuire Scholars will join a cohort of scholars who have access to the following: Additional scholarship opportunities of up to $9,000, $1,000 book stipend, opportunity to take a free summer or intercession course ($2,580 value), dedicated success coach, invitation to exclusive McGuire Scholar events, and networking and internship opportunities!

Robert J. McGuire Program Requirements:

  • GPA of 85 (3.0) or above. 
  • Family Adjusted Gross Income of $125,000 or less (verified through a completed FAFSA).
    • SFC Federal School Code is 002820 
    • SFC State School Code is 0715

Robert J. McGuire Application Process:

Complete and submit your Scholarship Day essay by Friday, February 3rd 
Complete supplemental McGuire Application by Friday, February 3rd 
Attend our Scholarship Day event on Saturday, February 11th 
Complete interview with a member of our McGuire Committee during the week of Monday, February 13th- Friday, February 17th 
Honors Program Details
The SFC Honors program offers high achieving students the opportunity to participate in seminar style courses with classmates as intellectually curious as yourself. Honors Program students participate in field trips, study aborad programs, attend regional honors conferences, partake in volunteer opportunities within the larger Brooklyn community and have the opportunity to present their Honors Thesis at regional Honors Conferences.
Requirements:
  • GPA of 90 (3.3) or above

Honors Application Process:

Complete and submit your Scholarship Day essay by Friday, February 3rd 
Complete supplemental Honors Application by Friday, February 3rd 
Attend our Scholarship Day event on Saturday, February 11th 
Complete interview with a member of our Honors Council during the week of Monday, February 13th- Friday, February 17th
