Please review this Content Advisory for Rustic Oracle and then respond accordingly:

Because Rustic Oracle addresses mature themes related to related to violence against women, we recommend previewing the film in order to determine whether it is suitable for your particular group of Grade 9 students.

This discussion corresponds with an episode of the documentary series Rise. Students should view the film within one week prior to watching the filmmaker discussion.

While the discussion will be available for viewing indefinitely, the corresponding film (Rise: Red Power) can only be provided for 7 days, via time-limited streaming link.

The April 21 livestream session corresponds with two films (Mighty Jerome and Rustic Oracle), and teachers should screen the films (provided by REEL CANADA) for their students within 1-2 weeks prior to the corresponding filmmaker discussion/livestream.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we are pleased to provide streaming links in lieu of our regular DVDs. This allows for maximum flexibility if your class is currently learning from home, or if your school or any of your students experiences a sudden shift to learning from home.

You may share these links directly with your students to watch at home, but the links cannot be shared outside of your own virtual classroom or school. These links are for educational purposes only.

If you are planning to watch the film in a classroom setting with your students, you can use that same streaming link, and a projector, to show the film at the front of the class.

For those schools where internet broadband strength is an issue, we will also be providing a lower-resolution version of the films, which should make streaming more stable.

We also have a small number of DVD copies reserved for those schools where even a lower-resolution streaming link will not work properly.

In addition to your DVD, we will also provide a streaming link as a precautionary measure, in case your school or some of your students are suddenly shifted to learning from home. As such, we would ask you to please sign off on the confirmation below.

We will contact you for technical assistance, but in the meantime, we would still ask you to please sign off on the confirmation statement below. Even if we determine that you qualify to receive a DVD, we will also provide a streaming link as a precautionary measure, in case your school or some of your students are suddenly shifted to learning from home. Therefore, we require this confirmation regardless.

Demographic Information

It's a condition of our funding from the federal government that we ask the following demographic questions, in order to ensure we're reaching diverse audiences. Please rest assured that the demographic information will only be reported in aggregate, along with percentage data from the hundreds of schools we serve each year.

If you don't know exact percentages, that's absolutely fine - rough estimates are perfectly acceptable.
