Young Change Makers Fellowship
We are delighted you are interested in becoming a Virgin Money Foundation Youth Fellow. This is an exciting opportunity to create change in your community while growing your skills and networks as a social leader. Through this programme we will provide funding, mentoring and leadership development. Successful Fellows will also have the opportunity to travel to research other community projects and work with a peer group of exceptional young people committed to creating change.
If you’re successful at the first stage, you’ll be invited to meet the team and the Foundation Youth Advisors in June or July 2021. If you’re one of the ten young people accepted onto the programme, you will need to be available for six months from September/October 2021. We are currently planning for all activity to be online. If restrictions change and we can meet in person, we will do so.

Applications will close on Monday 17 May 2021.

Applications from young people living in communities that need our support the most will take priority. We do this by comparing your home address to the UK Government Index of Multiple Deprivation. If you are a student and currently living away from home please apply using what you consider to be your home address. This must be in the North East, North West or Yorkshire and the Humber. If you are currently studying, please also be aware that if successful, you will need to be available for six months from May 2021. Attendance at a three/four day residential at the start of the programme, monthly training and workshops, mentoring and peer support sessions are required to successfully continue with the Fellowship.

We’re happy to accept a video application if you prefer or you can send us both. Please attach it using the option at the bottom of this page, but don’t forget to answer the questions in this form. Please put ‘attached video’ in the question fields. Please note there is a total file upload limit and no one individual file can be over 25MB. If you have trouble uploading video you can send it to info@virginmoneyfoundation.org.uk via We Transfer.
