Thank you for your interest in applying for an HFLS Loan. Completing this application is the first step in the loan process.
IMPORTANT: Reading through ALL of the information below before beginning your application will ensure your loan request is processed as quickly as possible. Once you begin completing the application you will not be able to save your work and continue completing it at a later date.
You will need the following information (for you and for your spouse, if you are married) in order to complete the application:
You will need to upload the following documents to your application:
Photo IDs for you and your spouse in PDF, JPEG, or PNG format; a photo taken on your phone is fine, as long as it's readable.
Recent checking account statement - scan or take a photo of ALL pages of your most recent checking account statement to upload
You will need the full name and email address of one proposed guarantor (for loans of $7,500 or less) or two proposed guarantors (for loans above $7,500) who meet the following criteria:
Lives in New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut
Has annual, pre-tax household income of at least $30,000
Has good credit (as HFLS will obtain and review their credit report)
Is willing and able to repay your loan if you are unable to do so

You will receive an email confirming your application submission.
You will receive an email about verifying your signed response. You MUST click on the link in the email for HFLS to process your application.
Your proposed guarantor will receive an email from HFLS with a link to complete a guarantor form (please inform them so they know it’s not spam!)
Within three business days, an HFLS Loan Officer will contact you to schedule a 10-20 minute loan interview, which will take place by phone.
