Guidance on completing the form below

We have tried to make the form below as clear as possible, and allow you the opportunity to show your need for funding and give you the best chance of receiving a grant. If you have any questions when completing the form, please contact us on studentapp@leathersellers.co.uk and we'll get back to you.

Any question with an asterisk (*) beside it is a required field, and you will not be able to submit unless you provide an answer to that question.

These grants are always oversubscribed and unfortunately we have limited funds available and so not every good application is able to be funded. To give yourself the best opportunity of receiving a grant please take your time and do the best job you can of completing the form. Having someone else proof read your application before you submit is always beneficial and can resolve typos / misunderstandings. We have also provided a downloadable word document with the questions in it (available here) if you find it easier to prepare your answers offline and then submit via the form.

Be as clear as you can, and we look forward to receiving your form.

Do you meet our criteria?

The aim of the Leathersellers' Student Grants Programme is to:
- support disadvantaged students studying full-time at university in the UK and improve social mobility;
- relieve financial need (where other assistance is not available); and
- enable funded students to have a positive impact on society

Your application will be considered against those three objectives. If you are looking for funding for a course related to leather (e.g. Leather Technology, Leather for Fashion), please instead apply via https://leathersellers.co.uk/leather-student-grants/ as that is a different funding programme.
Eligibility Criteria

Residence Requirement

Indicators of disadvantage

Whilst we appreciate this may not be a complete list of how people suffer disadvantage, these are examples of the situations many of our funded students come from, and which we prioritise. If you have not ticked any of these criteria you are still able to apply, but we would ask you to consider whether you are able to show you meet a comparable level of need for support (if yes, make sure you do so in your answers to the questions below).
