Online Community

The Hot Docs Online Community is a web-based networking tool that contains professional profiles for all registered Hot Docs industry delegates including Publicists, Filmmakers, Producers and Industry. Members can use the system to learn more about fellow delegates and to contact them directly with questions and to arrange for meetings and interviews. Members can also update their contact information and add a photo for their Media Pass. Once your accreditation has been approved, you will receive notification by email with your Hot Docs Online Community login credentials.


Accredited media are automatically granted access to the Hot Docs Online Community. Their profiles are hidden so that they cannot be contacted by other registered delegates, but they may wish to make them public.



Festival Coverage Information







Please note:

  1. Unless special arrangements are made, admission to the Hot Docs Forum and certain market events is NOT available with this accreditation. 
  2. Unless you hear directly from this office, please consider your accreditation approved. You will receive notification of your approved accreditation two weeks prior to the start of the Festival. 
  3. Accredited media representatives are required to submit press clippings and/or proof of broadcast following the festival. Hot Docs reserves the right to request this information. Failure to provide this information will impact future accreditation requests from journalists/outlets.
  4. Media will be serviced, on request and per availability, with screener links for review and editorial coverage purposes. Media accreditation does not provide access to films streaming on the Hot Docs at Home platform during the Festival.
