Scholarships Information
There are three (3) $1000.00 scholarships to an individual impacted by hemophilia or other significant bleeding disorder. Once chosen as a recipient, the scholarship will be good for one year. Recipients shall be allowed to apply for up to four years. A check will be made payable to the educational institution and mailed to the institution each year following verification of continuing education and an adequate academic record.
Application Requirements
In order for your application to be complete, your must submit the following materials:
  • This Online Application
  • Essay, 250-300 words
  • Two (2) Reference Letters (Example) - One reference must be by an individual who can identify you in relation to hemophilia or other bleeding disorder and its impact on your life.
  • Evidence of Diagnosis through clinician or HTC (Example)
  • Your Most Up-to-Date Transcript (official or unofficial)

Review & Selection Process
The scholarships granted are determined by the scholarship committee of HFA. All decisions made by the committee are final. Recipients will be notified of the outcome by the scholarship committee by e-mail. Any information submitted with this application will become the property of HFA.

All information contained in this application will be utilized in the determination of each scholarship winner. Applications must be completed in full in order to be considered by the committee. All scholarship and grant award recipients will be notified no later than September 30th.
