By submitting this application, the host organization contact agrees to:
  • Verbally acknowledge Humanities Washington and ArtsWA/Washington State Arts Commission and their sponsorship of the Washington State Poet Laureate program at the beginning and end of each program. 
  • Prominently include the Humanities Washington and ArtsWA/Washington State Arts Commission logos on all promotional materials.
  • Confirm the program will be free and open to the general public (except for classroom visits, corrections center visits, and writers' conferences and workshops).
  • Widely publicize the program to the local community using publicity materials provided by the Washington State Poet Laureate.
  • Not record the presentation, unless with the express, advance permission of the Poet Laureate.
  • Promptly notify the Poet Laureate and Humanities Washington of any scheduling or location changes to the program. 
  • Reconfirm all arrangements with the Poet Laureate two weeks before the program.
